Diesel engines Ä42 (×Í30/38) with cylinder bore to piston stroke ratio 30/38 are 4-stroke, medium-speed, turbocharged, intercooled engines arranged in-line. These engines were specially developed for marine propulsion plants and satisfy the requirements for this type of engines.
The engines have modular design providing high manufacturing, operational and maintenance efficiency.
Design solutions implemented in diesel engines D42 provide:
- reliability, low fuel consumption and longer service life;
- environmental friendliness;
- operation regardless of climatic conditions;
- compliance with the rules of the River and Sea Registers;
- operation ability at exhaust back pressure up to 5 m;
- ability to operate on heavy (diesel) fuel.
