Transmashholding

«Transmashholding» is the largest Russian company acting in the sphere of transport engineering. Founded in 2002 it comprises today not only most of Russian but also European leading enterprises producing various types of machinery for railways. The company personnel is about 60 000 persons. The volume of sales in 2005 is estimated at 41.6 milliard rubles.

    In Europe

    Enterprises of "Transmashholding" produce the overwhelming majority of new locomotives (as of 2005 – 90%), locomotive diesel engines (as of 2005 – 95%), passenger cars as of 2005 – 91%), most of motored cars for rolling stock (as of 2005 – 81%) and other products.

    Increase of production and sales volume (foe export included) for the late years allows “Transmashholding” to expect the increase of its share in the world market. Ranking eighth in terms of sales volume in the world the company expects to rank fourth-fifth in the nearest future. The products of “Transmashholding” are supplied not only to the countries of the Community of Independent States, but also to the countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania.
