Modular design

Main-line 6-axle electric locomotive (d.c.) ЭП2К is intended for hauling passenger trains on electrified routes (3 kV, d.c.) of Russian railways with gauge width 1520 mm. These locomotives can be operated in the countries of the Community of Independent States and Baltic region.
