Diesel-generator 3-36ÄÃ
To replace diesel engines of type Ä50 whose service life has expired in shunting locomotives of type ÒÝÌ2 diesel engine 8×Í26/26 has been developed for use in diesel-generator 3-36ÄÃ. The engine design allows to use the same traction generator and auxiliary equipment of locomotives ÒÝÌ2. Coordinates of power take-off shafts for locomotive auxiliaries are the same.
With the main locomotive parameters being the same (power, design speed and tangential traction effort) considerable improvement of the following characteristics have been achieved:
- reduction of fuel and oil consumption;
- harmful emissions;
- smoke;
- sound pressure;
- overhaul intervals and maintenance costs.
Examples of application
A batch of diesel-generators 3-36ÄÃ has been supplied for Uzbekistan railways.
Environmental compatibility
Diesel-generator 3-36Äà including diesel engine 8 ×Í26/26) has improved environmental impact as compared with diesel-generator ÏÄ1Ì (diesel engine of type Ä50).
